Kahn Academy – a free website offering homework help and interactive math practice from early to advanced math. If you choose not to sign up, you can click on the “Subjects” drop down box and choose your topic

Dr. Math – a free website that offers help from algebra to probability

Math is Fun – a free website covering topics from Data to Geometry to Math Games and Number Sense. Also provides math worksheets and graph paper templates.

Adapted Mind – math and reading website designed by Stanford University grads. Parents: users must sign up with email address to use

Math Magician – multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction

 

Science

Discovery Education – this website has a variety of resources to help students connect what they learn in school to every day life

Science Fair Resource Guide – this site contains a variety of website to help choose a science fair project and the correct steps for scientific inquiry.

Khan Academy Science – this website does ask you to sign up, if you want to keep track of your learning. If you choose not to sign up, you can click on the “Subjects” drop down box and choose your topic

Biology for Kids – a website that covers all areas of biology and life sciences. To get an overview of the site click on the site map

NASA for students – its NASA – what else can we say?

Hippocampus.org – a Physics site by the Monterey Institute of Technology that includes a variety of videos for Physics in the Real World, NASA videos, and Physics simulations.

Discovery Education Homework Help – offers a variety of links from grammar to reading help for grades K-12.

ABCYa – a website geared towards students in the  PreK – 5 academic level. 

PBS Kids Reading – Pre-K to 3 academic level – contains games to help grow literacy

Guide to Grammar and Writing – a site that is sponsored by Capital Community College Foundation to help students create, edit, and use proper grammar and punctuation. It also includes a section on writing the research paper.

Purdue OWL Online Writing Lab – an online resource for students at looking for essay writing help

Hippocampus.org – a site by the Monterey Institute of Technology that includes a variety of videos for English Language Arts
