Salem County Art Express premiers Dec. 8-9

Salem County Art Express – a new exhibit/sale featuring local artists -- premiers Dec. 8-9 at Salem Community College.  Holiday music from Woodstown and Pennsville Memorial High Schools’ student musicians will be featured on Dec. 8. 

An initiative formed by the Salem County Art League, the Salem County Tourism Office and SCC, the inaugural Salem County Art Express offers unique gifts from:

  • Donna Beales – jewelry
  • Dana Gayner – jewelry, miniature paintings
  • Karla Lehnhoff – watercolor paintings
  • Leda Manfre – photography
  • Carol Ott – jewelry
  • Mary Waddington – photography
  • Marion Williams – porcelain

 

Art Express begins with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8 in SCC’s Davidow Hall Gallery, 460 Hollywood Ave., Carneys Point. Admission is free. The evening features music from the Woodstown High School Chamber Choir, directed by Kahlil Gunther, from 5 to 6 p.m. and the Pennsville Memorial High School Strolling Strings, directed by Lisa Armstrong, from 6 to 7 p.m.  

On Saturday, Dec. 9, Art Express continues from 2 to 5 pm. at the same location.  Attendees are also invited to the Salem Community College Oak Singers’ holiday concert at 3 p.m. in the Sol and Jean Davidow Performing Arts Theatre in Davidow Hall.  The concert’s general admission ticket is $7.
