Salem Community College has appointed Marybeth Chambers as a full-time nursing instructor.
Chambers is a registered nurse at Christiana Care and twice earned the Nurse Excellence Award. She serves on the Christiana Care emerging infectious diseases team and the Wilmington Hospital emergency department triage team. She also sat on Christiana Care’s system-wide workforce connection council and nursing technology council.
Previously, the Mannington resident worked for the Memorial Hospital of Salem County (now Salem Medical Center), Cooper University Hospital and Bayada Home Health Care. Most recently, Chambers was a lab specialist and an adjunct instructor at Salem Community College.
She earned a master’s in nursing education from Wilmington University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Widener University and a bachelor’s degree in public health promotion from West Chester University.
Chambers holds the following certifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse, Trauma Nurse Core Course Certified, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
