“Dancing with the SCC Stars" features nine community leaders

Nine community leaders are raising funds for scholarships at the Salem Community College Foundation’s “Dancing with the SCC Stars” on Friday, September 22.

The spectacular evening of fun, food and live entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m. at Salem Community College, Davidow Hall, 460 Hollywood Ave., Carneys Point, N.J.  Cost is $100 per person, which includes a dinner buffet by DiPaolo’s, an open bar and a silent auction.  

Entertainer John Monforto, well known for his Elvis and Sinatra tributes, will serve as master of ceremonies.  

The Foundation is collaborating with the BlueBallRoom Dance Studio and LaPierre Ballroom Dance Studio and the following community leaders:

  • Tom Cook – Delaware River and Bay Authority 
  • Maria Fantini – Salem Community College
  • Lindsay Harmon – TD Bank
  • Matt Hassler – Hassler Management Consulting LLC
  • Dr. Mickey Ostrum – Cowtown Rodeo/Salem County Commissioner
  • ShayLa Salter – Atlantic City Electric
  • Tom Smith – Mannington Mills
  • Dr. Dan Timmerman – Inspira Health/Salem County Commissioner
  • Theresa Widger – PSEG

Visit www.salemcc.edu/sccstars to vote for the dancers by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20. All proceeds will benefit the SCC Foundation Scholarship Fund.  

A botanical, created and donated by world-renowned artist and SCC distinguished alumnus Paul J. Stankard, will be auctioned online along with other unique hand-crafted glass items the week of the event.  Visit www.salemcc.edu/sccstars for details.
