Jennifer Jones, the longtime executive director of the Salem County Chamber of Commerce, has received Salem Community College’s 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award. Her nominators pointed out that the lifelong Salem County resident promotes and advocates for the county and her hometown, Salem City. Nominators also noted that Jones is a true county ambassador -- always getting involved and willing to help.
This spring, her tireless efforts on the task force to re-open Salem County businesses and provide timely information to business operators have been critically important.
Jones also demonstrates her love for Salem County through her many years of volunteerism. She has served on the Salem County Economic Development Commission, the Salem County Vocational-Technical Schools Community Advisory Panel, Salem City Community United, Salem Main Street Board and the Bishop Guilfoyle Regional School Board and several other endeavors to support the community.
The SCC Alumni Association and SCC Foundation annually recognize a graduate who has excelled professionally and has helped improve their community.
