Salem Community College conferred more than 250 associate degrees and certificates to its Class of 2020. Graduates live in nine states – New Jersey, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Many graduates, joined by family members, attended drive-through ceremonies on June 3 on the Dr. David J. Klinke Green.
President Michael R. Gorman praised the graduates for their perseverance through the COVID-19 pandemic. “Though you are special in your own right, you will be remembered for being special forever due to our rapid shifting from live, on-campus instruction, to remote learning. Take a bow, as you earned it,” he said.
SCC honored the following graduates with faculty medallions:
- Associate of Applied Science -- Amber Baratz
- Associate of Science -- Riley Rudd
- Associate of Arts -- Kayla Rabenold
- Associate of Fine Art -- Michael Almond
- Certificate (tie) -- Rebecca Baez and Starlissa Smoot
A medallion is presented annually to one or two graduating students in each degree and certificate program with a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Faculty members select the recipients based on their academic accomplishments, and service to the College and community.
