William Mays Jr.

Meet the SCC Faculty

William Mays Jr. is an Associate Professor of Mathematics. He regularly teaches Pre-Algebra, Contemporary Mathematics, Statistics, College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2. On occasion he teaches Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra as independent studies. Currently, Mr. Mays is a co-advisor to the college’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society for Two Year Colleges (www.ptk.org). On top of all of his professional activities, Mr. Mays has a busy family life as a husband and father of three children, two cats and one dog. He attends his local church. He sings in the church choir and holds positions as the church treasurer and as the senior sound technician. He also is a national certified scrutineer and volunteers at many Scottish dance completions in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and Connecticut.
