Meet the SCC Faculty

Stephanie Gibison BSN, RN, Nursing Lab Specialist, is responsible for reproducing a similar clinical setting in the nursing lab.  In the lab, students practice in a conducive learning environment while they incorporate important clinical skills into their learning.  Ms. Gibison also offers tutoring and test-taking strategies, open lab time for students, and participates in simulation lab with PN and ADN students.  Her background includes working in acute care at local hospitals for over thirty years.  While she started her career in adult med-surg nursing, she also has critical care experience in the open-heart surgical unit, cardiac stepdown unit and the operating room. Labor and delivery, high risk obstetrics, OB operating room and OB/GYN Emergency Triage has been her focus for the last two decades.  She has also worked as a Certified Lactation Consultant and Parent Education Teacher.  Ms. Gibison enjoys spending her free time traveling, gardening, reading, listening to all genres of music and most of all, hanging out with her family and friends.
