To help promote a cleaner environment, Salem Community College (SCC) now has an electric vehicle (EV) charging station.

LilyPad EV and Rowe Electric, Inc. installed the charging station for two vehicles in Lot C on the College’s campus, 460 Hollywood Ave., Carneys Point.

Salem Community College baseball began its season on March 10 with an impressive 9-5 road win over Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) Gloucester Roadrunners (#2 nationally).

With student feedback, SCC prepares for fall

 

Salem Community College is using valuable feedback from students in preparing for more in-person services and courses in the coming months.

The College surveyed students in November. Among the highlights:

Cat Burns was at her family’s home in Woolwich Twp. in December 2019 when she received the invitation to appear in Season 2 of the Netflix reality series “Blown Away.”

Salem Community College President Michael Gorman will hold his annual state-of-the-College conversation on Monday, January 25 at 5 p.m. During the one-hour, virtual meeting, Dr. Gorman will describe the College’s progress and challenges during these unprecedented times. All are welcome.

Joelle Martins of Salem Community College was named a 2020 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar. The prestigious recognition bestowed upon only 207 Phi Theta Kappa members internationally comes with a $1,000 scholarship.
